The School of Medicine of the UMinho gathered over 80 gynecology professionals for the 4th edition of the course Avaliação e Orientação do Casal Infértil | Evaluation and Treatment of the Infertile Couple, on the 11th and 12th of June.

The sessions were structured to enlighten the participants on essential up-to-date aspects of the study and evaluation of the infertile couple, aiming to skill these professionals on becoming proficient in advising, monitoring, and treating these patients.

The course counted on a faculty of 11 fertility specialists and was coordinated by Prof. Rui Miguelote, from the School of Medicine of the UMinho, together with Prof. João Silva-Carvalho, from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP).

The great majority of the attendees rated it an “excellent” course and considered it an important factor for the improvement of their knowledge and ability to better deal and communicate with their patients.

The scientific endorsement was granted by the Portuguese Society of Reproductive Medicine (SPMR) and the Portuguese Medical Association (Ordem dos Médicos).
