Overview.
Scope:
The Capsule Endoscopy Training Program will be hosted by the School of Medicine of the University of Minho, from May 4th to 6th, 2022. This will be the seventh edition of a diversified dedicated course aiming to improve and consolidate Gastroenterology trainees and seniors’ skills on the daily practice of capsule endoscopy.
The Faculty is granted by the Gastroenterology Department of Hospital da Senhora da Oliveira, Guimarães – Portugal, an approved Training Centre of the European Board of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, with a wide clinical, investigational and educational experience on the field of capsule endoscopy.
The course will approach the main technical and clinical aspects of small bowel, colon and Crohn’s capsule endoscopy, including state-of-the-art lectures, new software developments, recent progresses on the field of artificial intelligence and tips and tricks for a practical reading technique. Based on individual workstations for personalized hands-on training, this course allows an appealing balance of theoretical and practical learning.
