Mariana Peixoto.

Mariana Peixoto has a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering and brings over 12 years of experience in innovation management, knowledge transfer, business development, intellectual property, fundraising, and project management.

Mariana has successfully promoted, implemented, negotiated, and managed hundreds of university-industry innovation, research, and development projects across various technology sectors, from life sciences and biomedical sciences to engineering and computer sciences. She has comprehensive knowledge and experience of intellectual property protection and exploitation, from invention disclosure to the marketplace.

Mariana has worked for international leading higher education institutions in the UK and Portugal. She spent nearly seven years in the UK serving as Business Development Manager for the School of Health Sciences of City, University of London, and the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Westminster. She also served as Technology Transfer and Industry Liaison Officer at TecMinho – the Technology Transfer Office of the University of Minho.

Starting in February 2022, Mariana is now the Innovation and Knowledge Transfer Manager at B.ACIS, where she will help bring new ideas to life.
