Roberto Barbosa.

Roberto Barbosa has a solid background with a M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minho, where he has demonstrated a keen interest in the intersection of technology and healthcare. During this time at the university, he has actively participated in extracurricular activities, including serving as a member of the biomedical engineering students association. Additionally, Roberto has gained valuable research experience as a visiting researcher at the Neuroengineering and Medical Robotics Laboratory at the Politecnico di Milano.

To further expand his knowledge and skills, Roberto has obtained a Ph.D. degree in Leaders for Technical Industries (LTI) within the Engineering Design and Advanced Manufacturing (EDAM) focus area through the MIT Portugal Program. His research activities were carried out in the fields of computer-assisted surgery and diagnosis, demonstrating his commitment to advancing innovation in healthcare. This has enhanced his proficiency in the domains of innovation and entrepreneurship, innovation management, as well as team and project management.

Eager to embrace a new challenge, Roberto is now the Innovation and Knowledge Transfer Manager at B.ACIS - Center for Health Innovation, School of Medicine. He is looking forward to leverage his skills and experience to contribute meaningfully to technological innovation and knowledge transfer that positively impacts society in the field of medical and life sciences.
