29 June 2026

From 22 to 26 June 2026, the University of Minho School of Medicine hosted the 22nd edition of the international course “Sulci, Gyri, Ventricles and Dissecting Fibers – Hands-on Course”, an initiative dedicated to advancing knowledge of microsurgical anatomy and advanced techniques in Neurosurgery.

Organized with the support of B.ACIS – Center for Health Innovation, the course brought together specialists and participants from different countries, providing an intensive week of training that combined theoretical sessions, scientific discussion, and hands-on practical training.

Throughout the programme, participants deepened their knowledge of the anatomy of sulci, gyri, ventricles, and white matter fibers, as well as microsurgical approaches applied to different intracranial pathologies. The practical sessions enabled participants to consolidate their skills through anatomical dissection and the application of techniques under the guidance of an internationally renowned faculty.

The 22nd edition reinforces the commitment of B.ACIS and the University of Minho School of Medicine to promoting advanced medical training, innovation, and scientific excellence, contributing to the continuous development of healthcare professionals and strengthening international collaboration in the field of Neuroscience.
