Braga Course in Head & Neck Radiology: Another Successful Edition Dedicated to Head and Neck Imaging

The 3rd edition of the Braga Course in Head & Neck Radiology brought together national and international specialists for two intensive days of advanced training focused on imaging anatomy and temporal bone pathology.

Held in Braga, the course offered a highly specialized scientific programme in head and neck radiology, neuroradiology, and otologic imaging, combining expert-led lectures, workshops, and clinical case discussions in an environment of strong scientific exchange and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Organized with the support of B.ACIS | Center for Health Innovation, the course covered a range of relevant topics related to temporal bone imaging and otorhinolaryngological pathology, including inflammatory and infectious diseases, tumoral lesions, facial paralysis, vertigo, tinnitus, and sensorineural hearing loss.

Throughout the programme, participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of imaging techniques used in the assessment of temporal bone pathology, with a particular focus on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and advanced radiological approaches to support diagnosis and clinical decision-making.

The scientific programme featured an outstanding faculty of renowned specialists in radiology, neuroradiology, and otology, fostering discussion on current challenges and innovation in head and neck imaging.

The course also included interactive sessions and clinical case discussions, encouraging practical interpretation and the exchange of experience between faculty members and participants.

  • Imaging anatomy of the temporal bone
  • Inflammatory pathology of the middle and inner ear
  • Tumoral pathology of the ear
  • Imaging approach to facial paralysis
  • Imaging approach to vertigo and tinnitus
  • Imaging of sensorineural hearing loss
  • Applications of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the assessment of the temporal bone
  • Postoperative ear imaging
