Capsule Endoscopy Training Program Brings Together Specialists for Two Days of Advanced Training

26 June 2026

The latest edition of the Capsule Endoscopy Training Program took place at the School of Medicine of the University of Minho, bringing together healthcare professionals for two days of training focused on the latest advances in capsule endoscopy.

Designed to combine scientific updates with practical learning, the programme featured expert-led lectures, live clinical case presentations, structured reporting methodologies, and hands-on interpretation sessions using dedicated workstations. Participants had the opportunity to analyse complete cases, review segmented videos, and discuss diagnostic challenges in an interactive learning environment.

Throughout the course, special emphasis was placed on image interpretation, reporting standardisation, patient selection, bowel preparation, and current developments in capsule endoscopy. The programme also addressed emerging applications and performance measures, providing participants with a comprehensive overview of this evolving field.

By integrating theoretical knowledge with practical case-based learning, the course offered a valuable opportunity for participants to strengthen their diagnostic skills while exchanging experiences with faculty members and peers.

B.ACIS would like to thank all faculty members, participants, and partners whose contribution made this edition possible and successful.

We remain committed to supporting high-quality medical education and creating opportunities for healthcare professionals to advance their knowledge and clinical practice through innovative training programmes.
