The European Hernia Society (EHS) and B.ACIS Center for Health Innovation organized the Intermediate Cadaveric Hernia Course and the Advanced EHS Hiatal Hernia Course, both at the School of Medicine of the University of Minho, on March 18th and 19th.

The Intermediate Cadaveric Hernia Course included detailed cadaveric dissection and lectures by international abdominal wall experts. In addition to lectures on inguinal and ventral hernia, the course incorporated a section on umbilical hernia and interactive case discussions.

The Advanced EHS Hiatal Hernia Course comprised a comprehensive programme designed to deepen the understanding and refine the surgical skills in the treatment of hiatal hernias.
This course combined essential theoretical knowledge with advanced hands-on cadaveric practice, ensuring participants got both insight and practical experience under expert guidance.
This structured, high-level training equipped participants with the confidence and expertise to tackle both primary and revisional hiatal hernia surgeries.
